l ,.IF' r (1 j {;' ~'{ij C''''~:1 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF T HE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, under the provisions of that certain Act of the Legislature of the state of California entitled "1m Act to Provide for the Alteration of the Boundaries of Incorporated To~~s and Cities by the Annexation of uninhabited Territory Thereto and for the Incorporation of such 1mnexed Territory in and as a Part of such Municipality, and for the Districting, Government and Municipal Control of such Annexed Territory" approved May 29, 1939, and found in the Statutes of 1939 at page 1567, there was on the 7th day of OctOber, 1940, filed with the Council of the City of Redwood City, a peti.tion in wri ting requesting that the hereinafter described terri tory be annexed to, incorpol'ated in and made a part of the City of Redwood City. The exterior boundaries of said territory described in said petition and whicb territory is contiguous to the limits of the City of Redwood City is described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING a~ the point of intersection of the easterly boundary line of the incorporated City of Redwood City with the northerly line of that certa.in 60 foot private road (now commonly knovvn as Bay Road) shown on "Map of Subdivisions of Sv\'eeney Ranch", filed in the Recorder's office, San Mateo County, State of California, June 24, 1898, in Book "c" of Original Maps at page 36; thence running in a northerly direction at right ani>les to the southerly line of the Bayshore Highway (California state Highway, Route 68) to a point in the southerly line thereof; thence southeasterly along the southerly line of said. Bayshore Highway to the easterly boundary line of Lot 2 as same is shOVlin on above described llMap of Subdivisions of Sweeney RanCh"; thence in a general northerly direction along said easterly boundary lines of said Lot 2 to the northeasterly corner thereof; thence in a general westerly direction along the northerly boundary lines of Lots 2 and 1 above described "M.ap of Subdivisions of Sweeney Ranch" to the southeasterly corner of that certain parcel of land named as "First" and conveyed by deed filed March 29, 1913 in Volume 222 of Deeds at page 265, San Mateo County Records; thence along the easterly and northerly boundaries of said parcel of land above described to a point in the southeast line of H~rbor Boulevard and the southeast corporate limits of the City of Redwood City; thence south- westerly and southerly along said corporate limits of the City of Redvvood City to the point of beginning.
