<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. <br /> <br />11.80 <br /> <br />AMENDING RULES FOR PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION <br />HERETOFORE ADOPTED PURSUANT TO ~RDINANCE <br />NO. 445 <br /> <br />RESOLVED by the CounclJl. of the Oi ty of Redwood C1 ty <br /> <br />that the rules for personnel administration heretofore adopted <br /> <br /> <br />pursuant to Ordinance No. 445, commonly known as the Personnel <br /> <br />Ordinance, be and said ~ s are hereby amended by adding <br />thereto a new rule to be numbered Rul$ XVII'entitled: "Red <br />Cross:; First-Aid Course for Policemen and Firemen"'. <br /> <br />SECTION ].. Probationary Policemen ~ Firemen. <br />During the probationary period of six month~ foI~ <br />lowing the appointment of a Policeman or Fireman in this city <br />such appointee shall_ enroll himself for and take and qual.ify <br />under the Red. Oro'sa First-Aid Twenty-hour Cours'e. Upon com- <br />p]etion of such course each such appointee shall obtain and <br />fi1e with the Chief of his Department a certificate of his <br /> <br />satisfactory completion of such course. Any appointee who <br />rails to comply with this rule shall be subject to removal <br />at the end of his probationary period. <br />SECTION 2. Refre1Jher Course for Policemen and <br />- - <br /> <br />Firemen. <br /> <br />Each member of the Police Department and of the <br />Fire Department in active service in such department shalJl-, <br />before the expiration of his certificate of completion of a <br />Standard or a Refresber Cours~ in Red Cross'. First-Aid work, take <br />a Refresher C ours e- in Red Cross First-Aid and obtain and :fil.s <br /> <br />with th~ Chief of his' Department evidence of his completion of <br /> <br />such Refresher Course. Any Policeman or Fireman who fai1s to <br /> <br />comply with this section of this rule shall be subject to <br />disciplinary a otion pursuant to Rule XIII of s aid Personnel <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 445. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
