'449 <br /> <br />REQUIRING THE ABA,TEMENT OF A NUISANCE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ,the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on <br />!. )Z(A-"1<C1:t I f V j> ,~-:-J-O <br />the 17th day of February, 1947, passaand adopt Resolution No. 440 <br /> <br />Declaring Weeds a Nuisance and Ordering Their Removal, in which <br /> <br />resolution it was declared that noxious or dangerous weeds were <br /> <br />growing upon all the sidewalks, streets, avenues roads, boulevards <br /> <br />and highways in said city, and upon all the lots and property <br /> <br />in said city, which weeds are of a kind which bear seeds of 8 <br />wingy or downy nature and will attain such large growth as to <br /> <br />become a fire menace when dry, and that said weeds constitute a <br /> <br />public nuisance; and <br /> <br />[J-l.' <br />WHEREAS, after the passage of said Resolution No. '440 <br /> <br />De claring We,eds a Nuisance and Ordering Their Removal, the .super- <br />intendent of streets of the City of Redwood City duly and regularly <br />caused to be posted notices of the passage of said resolution in <br /> <br />time, form, manner and number as required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the time fixed in said notices and.in said <br /> <br />resolution when objections to the removal of such weeds would be <br /> <br /> <br />heard and given considers tion by the Council of ! the Oi ty of Red,!~.- <br /> <br />wood City, no objectiona of any kind were made against the ~emoval <br /> <br />of said weeds, and said Council now having acquired jurisdiction <br /> <br />thereof; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City that the Superintendent of streets of said city be and <br /> <br /> <br />he is hereby ordered and directed to abate the nuisance existing as <br /> <br />!JS{) <br />specified in said Resolution No. 440 Declaring Weeds a Nuisance and <br /> <br />Ordering Their 'Removal, and as provided by law. <br />The aboye and foregoing resolution was 'passed and adopted <br />
