CGM:yc:8/4/80 RES 0 L UTI 0 N No.8658 ORIGINAL AUG 11 1980 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY-SAN MATEO COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, RELATING TO THE GENERAL DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF LOCAL INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce has requested the City of Redwood City to contribute certain monies during the fiscal year July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981, for the maintenance and improvement of the economy of the City of Redwood City by the general development and promotion of local industry and commerce, in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to authorize the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce providing for a payment of Twenty Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($20,000.00) to the San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce by the City of Redwood City for such above stated purposes for the fiscal year July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981; NO~~, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement (form dated 8/4/80), by and between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce relating to the general development and promotion of local industry and commerce in the City of Redwood City, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 8658
