CGt1: bc 8/4/80 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8656 ORIGINAL AUG 11 1980 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR UTILITY EASEtlENrrS RELATING TO ,JEFFERSON AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to construct, reconstruct, maintain and operate certain utility facilities in connection with the Jefferson Avenue Reconstruction Project; and WHEREAS, part of these facilities will be required to be constructed across and beneath the property and railroad tracks of Southern Pacific Transportation Company; and WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company is willing to grant the required utility easements to City to facilitate the construction, reconstruction, maintenance and operation of these facilities and has presented an agreement (indenture) to City to establish the terms pursuant to which the easements have been granted; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the terms of the agreement (indenture) and desires to authorize its acceptance; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement (indenture), with attached Drawing No. 190825 and Pipe Lines map, between the City of Redwood City and Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 8656
