ATTY/RESO.0018/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION, SALARY, AND WAGE PLAN (RCMEA) <br />REV: 03-04-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO.16288 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND <br />WAGE PLAN TO UPDATE SALARY RANGES FOR RCMEA AND <br />CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE POSITIONS AND ESTABLISH THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been reached with the Redwood City Management <br />Employees Association (RCMEA) for the period of October 1, 2024 through September <br />30, 2027; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agreed to a 3% cost-of-living adjustment effective October <br />7, 2024 to all classifications represented by the RCMEA as listed in Exhibit A-1 and in the <br />full Salary Plan attached as Exhibit B, and specified equity adjustments for certain <br />RCMEA classifications effective March 24, 2025 as listed in Exhibit A-2, and equity <br />adjustment up to 1% maximum per RCMEA qualifying classification to be effective the <br />first full pay period following completion of the meet and confer process, of which <br />adjustment will to be determined by results of compensation surveys, a 3% cost-of-living <br />adjustment effective October 6, 2025, and a 3% cost-of-living adjustment effective <br />October 5, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager requested to amend the City’s Classification and <br />Salary and Wage plan by granting a 3% equity adjustment effective December 16, 2024 <br />(classifications creation date), to Confidential classifications of Housing Management <br />Analyst I and II to retain salary alignment with the RCMEA Management Analyst I and II <br />classifications respectively as listed in Exhibit A-2 and in the full Salary Plan attached as <br />Exhibit B, equity adjustments to qualifying classifications within the Confidential Employee <br />Group up to 1% maximum per qualifying classification effective the first full pay period <br />following completion of, and determined by results of, total compensation surveys, a 3% <br />cost-of-living adjustment effective October 6, 2025, and a 3% cost-of-living adjustment <br />effective October 5, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested the establishment of the new <br />RCMEA classification of Senior Project Manager as listed in Exhibit C and the full Salary <br />Plan attached as Exhibit B. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage Plan is amended to increase <br />salaries for RCMEA classifications and Confidential classifications of Housing <br />Management Analyst I and II as listed in Exhibit A-1, A-2, and in the full salary plan
