Proclamation <br />2025 Community Impact Award <br />San Francisco Airport Waterfront Marriott <br />and Ability Path <br />WHEREAS, the San Francisco Airport Waterfront Marriott and Ability Path created an <br />environment where diversity thrives and everyone belongs; and <br />WHEREAS, over a decade ago and way ahead of their time, the San Francisco Airport Waterfront <br />Marriott teamed up with Ability Path, creating an unprecedented partnership resulting in meaningful <br />jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities, while providing the hotel with a stable and <br />dependable workforce; and <br />WHEREAS, through empowerment, innovation and collaboration, Ability Path provided all forms <br />of support to individuals with developmental disabilities, from time of birth through retirement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Marriott team has cultivated an environment that values acceptance, respect, and <br />inclusion of alternately abled individuals; and <br />WHEREAS, the result of this collaboration has led to an amazing transformation for a countless <br />number of individuals, raising their self-esteem by allowing them to participate and contribute to <br />society just like those who are typically abled; and <br />WHEREAS, it is important to point out that this is not a partnership where two separate teams work <br />in parallel, but of one team working together seamlessly, enhancing the overall guest experience in <br />a totally transparent manner; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City expresses deep appreciation for the San Francisco Airport <br />Waterfront Marriott and Ability Path for being a gold standard example of an impactful and <br />innovative partnership, the result of which brings so much pride to our community and to all who <br />experience it during their visit to our region. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED THAT, I ELMER MARTINEZ SABALL OS, MAYOR <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, on behalf of the City Council and the people of Redwood <br />City, do hereby honor and congratulate the San Francisco Airport Waterfront Marriott and Ability <br />Path upon being awarded the 2025 Community ImpactAward by the San Francisco Peninsula, and <br />for their outstanding contributions to the community. <br />Date: April 9, 2025 Elner.5/nrt n�.Snbnllos, Mmnr <br />Rain Bnk-.
