<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />!i o. 1430 <br /> <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO SIGNATURE HOMES <br />TO ALLOW IS-FOOT FRONT SETBACK ON LOTS 12 AND 13, <br />BLOCK 1, WOOSTER, WHITTEN & MONTGOMERY SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS OF THE PLANNING COM- <br /> <br />MISSION of the City of Redwood City, State of California, has <br />submitted an application of SIGNATURE HOMES for a variance or <br /> <br />adjustment with the recommendation that such application be <br /> <br />granted, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY has <br /> <br />considered said application for a variance or adjustment in <br />accordance with Section No. 20 of Ordinance No. 600, being <br />the zoning ordinance of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY hereby <br /> <br />resolves as follows: <br /> <br />1. Said Council finds that the following conditions <br /> <br />do exist: <br /> <br />(a) There are exceptional or extraordinary cir- <br />Icumstances which apply to the land, building, <br />or use referred to in the application, which <br />circumstances or conditions do not apply <br />generally to land, buildings, or uses in the <br />same district. I <br /> <br />(b) That the granting of the application is neces- <br />sary for the preservation and enjoyment of <br />substantial property rights of the petitioner. <br /> <br />(c) That the granting of such application will <br />not materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare, the health <br />or safety of persons residing or working in <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br />2. The Council of Redwood City hereby grants said <br /> <br /> <br />variance or adjustment to SIGNATURE HOMES to allow IS-foot <br /> <br />setback on the front of Lots 12 and 13, Block 1, of Wooster, <br /> <br />Whitten & Montgomery Subdivisi,on, subject to the condition <br /> <br />that construction of the improvements proposed by the peti- <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
