RES 0 L UTI 0 N NO. :1117 GRANTING VARIANCE TO JAMES BAKER TO ALLOW la-FOOT SETBACK AT THE REAR OF LOT 3, CARMELITA MANOR VffiEREAS, THE BOARD OF ADJUSTlf~NTS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, STATE OF CALI- FORNIA has submitted the application of JANJES BAKER for a variance or adjustment with the recommendation that such application be granted, and WHEREAS, THE COUNCII) OF REDWOOD CIrry, STATE OF CALI- FORNIA, has considered said application for variance or adjustment in accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 600, Zoning Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. Said Council finds that the following conditions do exist: (a) There are exceptional or extraordinary cir- cumstances which apply to the land, building, or use referred to in the application, which circumstances or conditions do not apply generally to land, build- ings, or uses in the same district. (b) That the granting of the application is neces- sary for the preservation and enjoyment of substantial property rights of the petitioner. (c) That the granting of such application will not materially affect adversely neighboring property o'r the public 'welfare;'the health, or safety of per- sons residIng or working in the neighborhood. 2. Said Council hereby grants said adjustment or var- iance to JA~mS BAIillR to allow a la-foot setback along the rear line o~ Lot 3, Carmelita Manor, Redwood City, Cali~ornia, subject to the condition that construction of the garage for which said variance is granted be completed in accordance with plans submitted to the Planning Commission and Council of Redwood City, which plans are incorporated herein by ref- erence thereto and made a part of this resolution.
