ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2119 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF SECOND AMENDMENT TO FRANCHISE <br /> AGREEMENT WITH BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES <br /> OF CALIFORNIA, INC., FOR RECYCLING SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1980, adopted September 26, <br />1988, the City of Redwood City entered into that certain agreement entitled, <br />"Agreement for Collection of Recyclable Materials," (the "Recycling Franchise <br />Agreement") effective as of August 25, 1988; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2076, adopted April 11, 1994, the <br />parties entered into that certain agreement entitled, "First Amendment to <br />Agreement for Recyclable Materials," effective as of April 26, 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a proposed Second Amendment to the Recycling Franchise <br />Agreement providing certain definitional changes and amending the scope of <br />services to be provided under the Recycling Franchise Agreement has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve and authorize execution of <br />said Second Amendment; <br /> <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
