02/10/03 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14,4o9 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF DESIGNATING CURB PARKING <br />SPACES FRONTING 820 WOODSIDE ROAD AND 1503 WOODSIDE <br />ROAD AS 20- MINUTE TIME LIMIT STALLS, AND CURB PARKING <br />SPACES FRONTING 1745 EL CAMINO REAL AS A NO STOPPING <br />ZONE <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has <br />jurisdiction over Woodside Road, State Highway 84, and El Camino Real, State <br />Highway 82, in Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Caltrans' procedures pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section <br />22506 require a resolution in support from the affected local jurisdiction to authorize <br />changes in curb parking controls on state highways; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner at 820 Woodside Road has requested that two <br />parking stalls on Woodside Road fronting that premises be designated for 20- minute <br />time limit parking; and <br />WHEREAS, the proprietor of the business at 1503 Woodside Road has <br />requested that one parking stall on Woodside Road fronting that premises be <br />designated for 20- minute time limit parking; and <br />WHEREAS, the owner of the business at 1745 El Camino Real has requested <br />that the curb parking area on El Camino Real northerly from Chestnut Street to the first <br />driveway fronting that premises be designated as a no stopping zone; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff have confirmed that the requested changes are reasonable <br />and appropriate, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to support the request; <br />F:Atty /Reso /Reso.1366 <br />012803 1 <br />
