<br />L.~j <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:l/13/69 <br /> <br />ORiGINA~ <br /> <br />R E E. 0 L U T 1.'0 N <br /> <br />NO.~ <br /> <br />J4N 1a ~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, <br />THROUGH THE REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE, TO ENGAGE <br />IN COUNTY-WIDE PLANNING WITHIN THE INCORPORATED <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Committee of San Mateo County <br /> <br />has been engaged in the preparation and publication of long range <br /> <br />County-wide plans in conjunction with a comprehensive revision <br /> <br />of the County-wide general plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has been represented on <br /> <br />the Regional Planning Committee since its establishment in 1964; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is interested in, and <br /> <br />intends to participate in, regional planning by and through the <br /> <br />Regional Planning Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned County-wide general plan involves <br /> <br />proposals and programs of a County-wide multi-jurisdictional nature <br />and does not entail the preparation of detailed community or <br /> <br />neighborhood plans which are more appropriately part of an <br /> <br />individual city.s general plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Committee has requested this <br /> <br />Council to express its support for the comprehensive revision of <br /> <br />the County-wide general plan and authorize the Regional Planning <br /> <br />Committee to engage in regional or County-wide planning relating <br /> <br />to property within the incorporated limits of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1.
