RESOLUTION NO. P-1313 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF DR. ROBERT G. BROWN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board was saddened fo learn of the passing of Dr. Robert (3. <br /> Brown; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Robert (3. Brown was a member of the Board of Port <br />Commissioners of the City of Redwood City from August, 1965 to July, 1975, <br />having also served during his tenure as President, and having held the other offices <br />on the Board; gnd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Robert G. Brown is fondly remembered as an effective and <br />well-respected representative and spokesman of the Port of Redwood City both <br />nationally and locally; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Robert G. Brown's personal integrity and business sense added <br />immeasurably fo the stature and effectiveness of this Board as the Port confronted <br />and dealt with the dynamics of maritime commerce and the relationship of this <br />Port to nationa'l, regional and local shipping needs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board desires to recognize the achievements and <br />contributions of Dr. Robert (3. Brown to the Port and the community, and to <br /> <br />express its sorrow upon his death; <br /> NOW THEREFORE: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. This Board does hereby commemorate the memory of Dr. Robert G. <br />Brown, former officer and member of the Board of Port Commissoners of the City <br />of Redwood City from August 19~5 to July, 1975 and does hereby express its <br />sorrow at his passing~ recognizing the great loss thereby to the community of his <br /> <br /> <br />
