P-1310 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT <br /> <br /> TO A PERMIT FOR DOCK CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION <br /> <br /> HELD BY MARINE ECOLOGICAL INSTITUTE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. P-1116, Adopted June 28, 1984, by <br />this Board, a Permit ("Permit") was issued under Section 49 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City to Marine Ecological Institute for the construction, <br />maintenance, and operation of dock facilities for its use in conducting research, <br />scientific observation, and educational acitivites related to San Francisco Bay and <br />its tributaries, and other uses incidental thereto; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said dock facility is located within the "Port Area" of the City of <br />Redwood City As said area is defined in Section 50 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City, and also within Redwood Creek, title to which is vested in the City <br />of Redwood City purusant to the provisions of Chapter 34, Statutes of 1954; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Marine Ecological Institute requested, by letter dated <br />December 29, 1988, an amendment to the aforementioned Permit in order to aUow <br />the construction of three finger piers to the existing float and install four pilings, <br />ali in accordance with a drawing of the dock facility submitted with said letter; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed the aforesaid request and wishes to <br /> approve an amendment to the P%rmittee to construct, maintain, and operate said <br /> dock facility; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Thai an amendment, as requested by a teller from the Marine Ecological Institute <br /> <br /> <br />
