r ' REG:yc:10 /27/59 -7 RESOLUTION N0. 2 95 0 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "BRESSO ANNEXATION "; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID AN- NEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE =TIE AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Redwood City, with the full knowledge, consent and approval of the Council of the City of Redwood City, has heretofore caused to be filed with the Boundary Commission of the County of San Mateo, California, a written description of the Council's proposal to annex, upon said Council's own motion, to the City of Redwood City all that ter- ritory which is hereinafter described, and the Council does hereby ratify and affirm the aforesaid action of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, and finds that, said written description of its said proposed annexa- tion was filed with the Secretary of said Boundary Commission on September 25, 1959, and that said Boundary Commission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report to said Council upon said an- nexation proposal, all as required by law, and that said Boundary Commission has approved the boundaries of said proposed annexation; and WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing, and finds: (1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of Redwood City; and (2) That less than twelve registered voters presently reside within said territory and that said territory is therefore uninhabited;
