REG:yc:1 /25/60 -7 411 111 RESOLUTION N0. 2 9 6 9 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF NEW TRUCKS; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2953, adopted January 4, 1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of two new trucks for municipal purposes to replace worn out equipment in accordance with specifications therefor; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the City Manager; and WHEREAS, DAVIES AUTO COMPANY, Redwood City, California is the lowest responsible bidder for Item I, 3/4 Ton Service Truck (Chassis and Cab) and TOWNE MOTOR COMPANY, Redwood City, California is the lowest responsible bidder for Item II, 19,500 G.V.W. Truck (Chassis and Cab), and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bids to Davies Auto Company for Item I and Towne Motor Company for Item II and reject all other bids received; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Davies Auto Company for the furnishing of a new 3/4 Ton Service Truck (Chassis and Cab) to the City of Redwood City, according to Item I of the specifications heretofore approved by Resolution No. 2953, at the price quoted in its proposal, to -wit, One Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -Four and 51/100 Dollars (4,574.5 is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder with respect to said Item I. 2. The bid of Towne Motor Company for the furnishing of a new 19,500 G.V.W. Truck (Chassis and Cab) to the City of Redwood City, according to Item II of the specifications heretofore ap- proved by Resolution No. 2953, at the price quoted in its proposal, to -wit, Four Thousand Three Hundred Nine and 11 /100 Dollars ($4,309.11) is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder with respect to said Item II.
