• J AEC:ye:6 /12/59 <br /> RE SOLUT ION NO. 2851 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, <br /> INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO <br /> SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING <br /> SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "LESLIE <br /> ANNEXATION NO. 2 -B"; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING <br /> SAID ANNEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING <br /> SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND <br /> PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Redwood City, with <br /> the full knowledge, consent and approval of the Council of the <br /> City of Redwood City, has heretofore caused to be filed with the <br /> Boundary Commission of the County of San Mateo, California, a <br /> written description of the Council's proposal to annex, upon said <br /> Council's own motion, to the City of Redwood City all that ter- <br /> ritory which is hereinafter described, and the Council does hereby <br /> ratify and affirm the aforesaid action of the City Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, and <br /> finds that, said written description of its said proposed annexa- <br /> tion was filed with the Secretary of said Boundary Commission on <br /> March 26, 1959, and that said Boundary Commission has prepared, <br /> or caused to be prepared, a report to said Council upon said an- <br /> nexation proposal, all as required by law, and that said Boundary <br /> Commission has approved the boundaries of said proposed annexation; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing, <br /> and finds: <br /> (1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to <br /> and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of <br /> Redwood City; and <br /> (2) That less than twelve (12) registered voters presently <br /> reside within said territory and that said territory is therefore <br /> uninhabited; <br />
