· - - 5/12/03 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2247 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2232 THEREBY <br /> APPROPRIATING SPECIFIED AMOUNTS FROM DESIGNATED <br /> UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCES TO SPECIFIED <br /> APPROPRIATIONS, CANCELING CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS, AND <br /> TRANSFERRING SPECIFIED AMOUNTS FROM DESIGNATED <br /> APPROPRIATIONS TO OTHER SPECIFIED APPROPRIATIONS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Redwood City, on or <br />about August 26, 2002, the Council of Redwood City duly adopted the Annual Budget <br />of the City of Redwood City for the Fiscal Year July 1,2002 - June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 15 and 51.5 of the Redwood City Charter, from <br />time to time during the fiscal year, the Council may transfer sums from any appropriated <br />item to any other appropriated item; may provide for the appropriation or expenditure of <br />public money in any amount over two thousand dollars; and may cancel in whole or in <br />part any appropriation by ordinance if approved by the affirmative vote of five-sevenths <br />of all members of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City staff have recommended that the Council of Redwood City <br />appropriate and transfer certain funds for specified purposes in order to conform <br />budgeted amounts to actual expenditures approved for transactions which occurred <br />during the current fiscal year as set forth in Exhibits "A" and "B," attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council of Redwood City to appropriate <br />certain specified amounts from designated unappropriated fund balances to specified <br />appropriations; to cancel certain appropriations; and transfer specified amounts from <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord.178 2247 <br />042103 <br /> <br /> <br />
