• i i DES:yc:1 /27/71 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> FEB 1 j� <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF <br /> CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br /> VICINITY OF THE NORTHERLY TERMINUS OF MAIN STREET IN <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br /> PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE SAID <br /> PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the <br /> acquisition by the City of Redwood City of a fee simple interest <br /> in that certain unimproved real property located in the vicinity <br /> of Main Street and Bayshore Freeway, being a parcel of land <br /> situate northerly of the northerly terminus of Main Street and <br /> extending to Bayshore Freeway in the City of Redwood City, and <br /> more particularly described hereinafter, for right of way, <br /> public utility, and other municipal purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase price of said real property exceeds <br /> the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00); and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve the acquisition of said real property at the total <br /> purchase price of Twenty -five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That this Council hereby finds that the public interest, <br /> convenience and necessity require the acquisition of the herein- <br /> after described real property for municipal purposes. <br /> 2. That the City Manager is authorized to do all acts <br /> necessary to acquire the hereinafter described real property <br /> for a total purchase price of Twenty -five Thousand Dollars <br /> ($25,000.00) on behalf of the City of Redwood City, in accord- <br /> ance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br /> 3.
