P- zlsa <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMISSION OF DELEGATION OF <br /> AUTHORITY TO REQUEST DISBURSEMENTS FORM TO CaIPERS <br /> CALIFORNIA EMPLOYER'S RETIREE BENEFIT TRUST PROGRAM <br /> ("CERBT") <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. P-2132, Resolution Establishing Funding Policy for <br /> Postemployment Benefits Other Than Pension, was adopted by the Board of Port <br /> Commissioners of the City of Redwood City on April 13, 2011; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. P-2132 directed application be made to the California <br /> Employers' Retiree Benefit Trust ("CERBT") for participation in the CERBT program for the <br /> purpose of prefunding the Postemployment Benefits Other Than Pension ("OPEB") expense <br /> and liability of the Po�t of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. P-2132 designated and authorized the Port Executive <br /> Director or the Director of Finance and Administration to request disbursements from the <br /> CERBT Fund; and <br /> WHEREAS, application for participation in the CERBT program requires, in part, the <br /> approval by the Board of the document provided by CERBT entitled "Delegation of Authority <br /> to Request Disbursements" (the "Document"). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Resolution shall supercede the positions designated and authorized to <br /> request disbursements from the CERBT Fund as stated in Resolution No. P-2132. <br /> 2. The Director of Finance and Administration shall calculate the amount of the <br /> disbursement to be requested from CERBT; such calculation shall be submitted to the <br /> Executive Director. <br /> 3. This Resolution and the Document shall designate the positions of President of the <br /> Board of Port Commissioners and Executive Director as authorized to request <br /> disbursements from CERBT and to certify the purpose for which the disbursed funds will be <br /> used. <br /> 4. The Document shall be executed and submitted to CERBT in accordance with the <br /> instructions provided by CERBT. <br /> 5.
