4/26/99 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. RD-99-21 RD 99-21 RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION, MAKING FINDINGS REQUIRED BY THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT, AND ADOPTING A REPORTING AND MONITORING PROGRAM REGARDING THE APPROVAL AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE FRANKLIN STREET PROJECT WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City ("City Council") adopted Ordinance No. 1862 on July 19, 1982 approving and adopting the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 ("Redevelopment Plan"); and WHEREAS, the City Council subsequently amended the Redevelopment Plan by Ordinance No. 1911, dated May 20, 1985 ("First Amendment"); by Ordinance No. 2007, dated December 19, 1989 ("Second Amendment"); and by Ordinance No. 2085, dated December 19, 1994 ("Third Amendment"); and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted, by Resolution No. 12197, dated June 6, 1994, the Franklin Street Plan for the 25-acre area bounded by El Camino Real on the west, Jefferson Avenue on the north, Middlefied Road on the east, and Maple Street on the south ("Franklin Street Area") within the Redevelopment Project No. 2; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City certified, on March 19, 1996, the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Franklin Street Area Plan and Rezoning Study, and the City Council approved by Ordinance No. 1130-296, adopted on May 13, 1996, the Franklin Street Area General Plan and Zoning Map Amendments; and WHEREAS, in pursuit of the goals and objectives of the Redevelopment Plan, as amended, Agency desires to promote redevelopment of approximately ~.u-oo8 1 F/sh/sh/RC/Coun¢iI/Rcso DES:rg 04/20/99
