04/23/2012 SUCCESSOR AGENCY RESOLUTION NO. SA 12-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING THE RECOGNIZED ENFORCEABLE OBLIGATION PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR JULY 1, 2012 THOUGH DECEMBER 31, 2012 PURSUANT TO AB 1X 26 WHEREAS, in compliance with AB 1X 26, enacted by the California State Legislature and signed by the Governor as part of the 2011-2012 State budget, the City of Redwood City determined it would serve as the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency effective February 1, 2012; and WHEREAS, the City as the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency is tasked with preparing a Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule for the enforceable obligations of the former Redevelopment Agency of Redwood City every six months for each six month period WHEREAS, the City as the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency has prepared the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule for the July 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 period ("Second ROPS"); and WHEREAS, the Second ROPS is not effective until it has been approved by the Oversight Board, provided to the County Auditor-Controller, the State Department of Finance and State Controller, and posted on the Successor Agency's website. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recitals The Recitals set forth above are true and correct and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. Second ROPS. The City of Redwood City as the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency hereby approves the Second ROPS, attached hereto as Exhibit A. Section 3. Postinq; Transmittal to Appropriate Aqencies. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to transmit the Second ROPS, by mail or electronic means to the Oversight Board immediately upon approval by the Successor Agency. In addition, the Second ROPS shall be transmitted by mail or electronic means to the San Mateo County Auditor-Controller, the State Controller and the Department of Finance after the approval by the Oversight Board, which is no later than May 11, 2012. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to post a copy of the approved ROPS on the Successor Agency's website by May 11, 2012.
