P- 2Z�5 � � �' <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE WHARVES 1 <br /> � 2 REPLACEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORtZING AND DIRECTING <br /> SOLICITATION OF BIDS BY REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS <br /> WHEREAS, Contract Documents for the Wharves 1& 2 Replacement <br /> Project at the Port of Redwood City, Redwood City, Califomia, have been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Board of Port Commissioners; and <br /> WHEREAS, as evidenced by this Board's Resolution No. P-2171, this <br /> Board of Port Commissioners approved four (4) qualified potential bidders in <br /> response to the Port's Request for Qualifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Board of Port Commissioners desires to signify its <br /> approval of the Contract Documents and authorize and direct the Port Executive <br /> Director to solicit bids from the four (4) potential qualified bidders for the work <br /> therein described by Requests for Proposal. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Board of Port Commissioners reiterates its belief in the design-build <br /> approach in connection with this Project as it is anticipated that the design-build <br /> approach (best value approach) will reduce project cost, expedite project <br /> completion, and/or provide design features not achievable through the design- <br /> bid-build method. <br /> 2. Those certain Contract Documents entitled, "Contract Documents - <br /> Wharves 1& 2 Replacement Project," which include the Request for Proposals, <br /> Reso 195 <br /> 04/20/12 <br /> FXS <br /> �.attst� <br />
