ITEM 2 - TRANSPORTATION
Chairperson Anthony said TRIPS has helped the SamTrans Board of Directors
become more aware of the transportation problems of the disabled and felt
they are making good progress in addressing those problems. SamTrans has
made plans to comply with ADA regulations and hopes to complete their
timetable by 1995.
Chairperson Anthony said the pilot taxi cab program is still being run in
Northern San Mateo County and says TRIPS would like them to expand the
pilot program to other cities.
Commissioners Berglund and Lloyd discussed the fact that a lift is needed
in the City van in order to accommodate disabled seniors.
ROUNDTABLE
There were no items for Roundtable.
The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at
9:55am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Thursday, October 7, 1992 at the
Fair Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California.
