Chairperson Anthony said TRIPS will be merging with the Paratransit <br /> Coordinating Council. He will request to continue receiving the minutes <br /> from TRIPS and he will try and recruit someone as his replacement. <br /> Commissioner Lloyd reported that there are buses available which can be <br /> taken over by organizations and he will follow up on this matter and report <br /> back to the Commission. <br /> ITEM 3 - 1993 Workplan <br /> The Commissioners discussed the 1993 Workplan and developed the following <br /> timeline: <br /> February - Finalize results of Vital Concerns of Seniors Survey <br /> March/April - Would like to have a Study Session with the City <br /> Council; Chairperson Anthony will discuss with <br /> Mayor Buchan; may want to have a special Commission <br /> meeting prior to the Study Session <br /> The Commissioners discussed the Study Session which the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission will be having with the City Council on February 1 and the <br /> Senior Affairs Commissioners were invited to attend. Superintendent <br /> Hartman discussed park renovation projects and ADA requirements and also <br /> described the work planned for new park equipment at Red Morton, Palm, and <br /> Jardin de Ninos Parks. She suggested the Commissioners think about what <br /> subjects they would like to include in their City Council Study Session. <br /> ROUNDTABLE <br /> -Commissioner Lloyd mentioned the new freeway sign and the Commissioners <br /> expressed their displeasure of the idea behind the sign. <br /> -Commissioner Truscelli asked what might be planned for the property at <br /> Veterans and Chestnut Street and also at Maple and El Camino Real. He <br /> inquired about what property the City owns and whether it included senior <br /> housing. <br /> -Chairperson Anthony discussed the need for a liaison to the Veterans <br /> Senior Advisory Council. He appointed Commission Lloyd to be the liaison <br /> and Commissioner Truscelli to be the alternate. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 11:00am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, February 10, 1993 to be <br /> held at the Fair Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
