Chairperson Anthony said TRIPS will be merging with the Paratransit Coordinating Council. He will request to continue receiving the minutes from TRIPS and he will try and recruit someone as his replacement. Commissioner Lloyd reported that there are buses available which can be taken over by organizations and he will follow up on this matter and report back to the Commission. ITEM 3 - 1993 Workplan The Commissioners discussed the 1993 Workplan and developed the following timeline: February - Finalize results of Vital Concerns of Seniors Survey March/April - Would like to have a Study Session with the City Council; Chairperson Anthony will discuss with Mayor Buchan; may want to have a special Commission meeting prior to the Study Session The Commissioners discussed the Study Session which the Park and Recreation Commission will be having with the City Council on February 1 and the Senior Affairs Commissioners were invited to attend. Superintendent Hartman discussed park renovation projects and ADA requirements and also described the work planned for new park equipment at Red Morton, Palm, and Jardin de Ninos Parks. She suggested the Commissioners think about what subjects they would like to include in their City Council Study Session. ROUNDTABLE -Commissioner Lloyd mentioned the new freeway sign and the Commissioners expressed their displeasure of the idea behind the sign. -Commissioner Truscelli asked what might be planned for the property at Veterans and Chestnut Street and also at Maple and El Camino Real. He inquired about what property the City owns and whether it included senior housing. -Chairperson Anthony discussed the need for a liaison to the Veterans Senior Advisory Council. He appointed Commission Lloyd to be the liaison and Commissioner Truscelli to be the alternate. The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at 11:00am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, February 10, 1993 to be held at the Fair Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California.
