Rosenor House is open Monday
through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm and the cost is $34.00 per day which
includes lunch, snack and rediwheels transportation. Rosenor House offers
a variety of activities for its clients including physical and speech
therapy. Mr. Lang said Rosenor House not only provides services to their
clients but also provides respite services for their families. He stated
Rosenor House does not receive any goverment funding or United Way monies
and is entirely self-supporting. He also noted that most cities support
their own adult day care centers and Rosenor House recently applied to the
City of Menlo Park for funding and received a grant of $10,000.00. Mr.
Lang pointed out that although Rosenor House is located in Menlo Park,
Redwood City residents make up the majority of its clientele. Because of
that fact, Rosenor House will be applying to the City of Redwood City for
additional funds to assist in the maintenance of the center. Currently,
Rosenor House shows an annual deficit of $57,080.00 in serving its Redwood
City clients. Presently the only adult day care centers located close by
for Redwood City residents are Rosenor House and one in San Carlos operated
by Catholic Charities. Mr. Lang said he is looking for the Commission's
support of the grant requests Rosenor House will be making to the City.
