Walsh <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Zena Vigileo, Danny Sanchez <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Parks, Recreation, Community Services Manager Linda <br /> Griffith, Recreation Supervisor Yelena Devyatova, and <br /> Administrative Clerk Kathy Bede <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Jean Harrison at 1:03pm in the Goldstar Room of the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> M/S Moran/Graf: To approve the September minutes as mailed. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> No correspondence this month. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATION <br /> No oral communication this month. <br /> ITEM 1 - FUTURE SENIOR PROGRAMS AND POTENTIAL GRANT <br /> PROPOSAL <br /> Manager Griffith summarized work on the Community Wellness Project: <br /> • Brainstorm session gathered ideas <br /> • Letter of proposal by Corinne Centeno and Chris Beth sent <br /> • Interest expressed by Sequoia Healthcare District Board <br /> • Commissioner L. Walsh's active participation and involvement in <br /> project has been pro-active and his continuous contact valuable <br /> • Planning sessions to consist of small focus groups <br /> • Commissioner M. Walsh recommends attending Sequoia Healthcare <br /> Board meetings regularly <br />
