�� ..,..,. ��. � <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY,JANUARY 2, 1997 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Piulle, Commissioners Ball, <br /> Distefano, Filippi, Redington, and Saye <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Britschgi <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Councilwoman Georgi LaBerge, Charles Ascello <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Corinne Centeno, Library Supervisor <br /> Celia LaRiviere, Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Tamara Piulle at 7:02pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Commissioner Redington asked that a correction be made to the December <br /> minutes under "Updates-Arguello Bust Relocation". The minutes should <br /> read, "Because the JPA has not decided on the location of the ramp at this <br /> time, the Arguello bust will remain where it is." The December minutes <br /> were approved as corrected. Chairperson Piulle abstained from the vote to <br /> approve the minutes as she was absent from the December meeting. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -Chairperson Piulle announced the Interservice Coordinating Council has <br /> requested a listing of community events for its 1997 Calendar. The <br /> Commission agreed to submit the 1997 Concert Series dates. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi gave the Comntission a copy of a drawing of <br /> Carrington Hall by artist jean Grover which was included in a local calendaz. <br /> -Commissioner Saye announced that the El Camino Youth Symphony will be <br /> holding a pianist competition on May 3 for ages 6-18. The winner will <br /> perform as a soloist with El Camino Youth Symphony this season. <br /> -A letter was received from the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br /> requesting donations for the second Climate Best by Government Test <br /> archway sign plaque. This matter will be placed on the February agenda. <br />
