Streets, sidewalks, and curbs & gutters in need of repair within and bordering the project <br /> shall be repaired and/or constructed and replaced in accordance with the standards. <br /> Photographs or video of before conditions are strongly recommended. <br /> 16. Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Manual on Traffic Control Devices; <br /> street closures require prior submission of traffic control plans to be approved in <br /> advance. <br /> 17. Abandoned driveways shall be removed and replaced with sidewalk, curb & gutter in <br /> accordance with City's Engineering Standards. <br /> 18. New driveway approaches shall be constructed in accordance with the City's <br /> Engineering Standards. <br /> Grading and Drainage <br /> 19. Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume 111, Part 11 of the City's <br /> Engineering Standards (www.redwoodcitv.orq /cds /engineerinq /standards /design /PartV). <br /> Soil or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right -of -way. <br /> 20. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program Best Management Practices .(BMPs) for <br /> construction shall be implemented to protect water quality. BMP plan sheets are <br /> available electronically for inserting into project plans. <br /> 21. The owner /applicant shall submit a Piot and Finished Grading Plan prepared by a <br /> California registered Civil Engineer for each lot. The property owner /applicant shall apply <br /> for and obtain a Construction Permit from E &C for any grading exceeding 50 cubic yards <br /> prior to the issuance of the building permit for each lot. <br /> 22. For residential construction, follow the "Drainage Guidelines for Residential <br /> Development." (www.redwoodcitv.orq /cds/ engineerinq /pdf /residential- guidelines) <br /> 23. Dust control measures shall be implemented during site preparation and construction as <br /> per Redwood City Building and Engineering Department standards and pursuant to <br /> National Pollution Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) storm water pollution <br /> prevention requirements including, but not limited to, the following: <br /> a. Water all active construction areas at least twice daily. <br /> b. Water or cover stockpiles of debris, soil, sand or other materials that can be <br /> blown by the wind. <br /> c. Cover all trucks hauling soil, sand, and other loose materials or require all <br /> trucks to maintain at least two feet of freeboard. <br /> d. Pave, apply water three times daily, or apply (non - toxic) soil stabilizers on all <br /> unpaved access roads, parking areas and staging areas at construction <br /> sites. <br /> Page 4 of 7 <br />
