5. SPECIAL ORDER(S) OF THE DAY <br /> A. Proclamation - National Historic Preservation Month - Ken Rolandelli, <br /> Historic Resources Advisory Committee Chair -Jeffrey Gee, Mayor <br /> Mayor Gee presented the proclamation to Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br /> Chair Rolandelli. Mr. Rolandelli shared information on upcoming events regarding <br /> Historic Preservation month, which included walking tours on May 4th, the Union <br /> Cemetery tour on May 10th; he also recognized various public and private sponsors and <br /> participants. <br /> B. Recognition of Redwood City Businesses Evernote and <br /> Reputation.com Recipients of Innovators 2014 SAMCEDA Awards of <br /> Excellence - Ken Gullicksen, Chief Operations Officer of Evernote and <br /> Christopher Sundermeier, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer of <br /> Reputation.com -Jeffrey Gee, Mayor and Rosanne S. Foust, Vice Mayor <br /> Mayor Gee and Vice Mayor Foust recognized and welcomed each award recipient for <br /> their achievements and contributions to the community. Each recipient spoke sharing <br /> information about their respective companies, and expressed appreciation for being <br /> honored and for being in Redwood City. <br /> C. Presentation by Measure A Campaign Co-Chair Julia Horak and Alan <br /> Sarver, Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) Trustee and Bond <br /> Committee Representative, to request City Council consideration of a <br /> resolution in support of SUHSD Measure A Bond <br /> Mr. Salver presented information in favor of Measure A so that the school system can <br /> support the growth in population. He requested that City Council consider supporting <br /> this Measure A at a future meeting for their formal endorsement and said he would <br /> leave more information for the public at the back table. <br /> Mayor Gee directed that this item be placed on the May 12, 2014 City Council agenda <br /> under the Consent Calendar. <br /> 6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Diana Reddy, representing Community Builder for Redwood City from the Housing <br /> Leadership Council, spoke about their organization and presented the latest calendar to <br /> the City Council. She also invited the community to a forum on housing on May 8, 2014. <br /> Mike Giari, Port Director, reported on their ribbon-cutting and opening of Wharves 1 and <br /> 2, last week at the Port. He noted that many public officials, including Mayor Gee and <br /> Congresswoman Speier, and other Council Members and City staff, joined them.
