Presentation - Connect, Redwood City! - Doug Kim, Director, Planning, <br /> SamTrans <br /> Mr. Kim provided a brief presentation on the last mile and how important this is for riders <br /> (presentation on file). He shared information on ridership, routes and future plans. <br /> Council thanked the presenter and asked about the closeness of certain stations and <br /> riders' preferences. <br /> E. Swearing in of Newly Appointed and Reappointed Boards, <br /> Commissions and Committee Members (Phase I) - Silvia Vonderlinden, <br /> City Clerk <br /> Mayor Gee called each appointee by name and City Clerk Vonderlinden swore in fourteen <br /> incoming and reappointed Boards, Commission and Committee Members (Phase I). The <br /> attendees were: Tom Gilman, John Sportono, Niles Tanakatsubo , Marilyn Nita, Tiauna <br /> George, Bonnie Miller, Alma Montalvo, Cherlene Wright, Connie Guerrero, Rick Hunter, <br /> Mike Lynch, Pat Black, Jodi Paley, Marliese Jones <br /> Mayor Gee congratulated all the appointees and reinforced the notion that they are the <br /> City Council's ambassadors in the community. <br /> 6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Paul Sanfilipo representing the Inner Service Council, shared comments about the new <br /> entrance sign to Redwood City, and he had seen a presentation and the design do not <br /> seem to include "Climate Best by Government Test". He would like to make sure the <br /> archway signs include that wording. <br /> 7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> M/S Seybert/Foust to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. Motion carries <br /> unanimously by electronic vote with Council Members Bain and Pierce absent. <br /> 1. Section - Motion(s) <br /> A.
