SECTION 00800 <br /> SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> 1.01 HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION <br /> Working hours shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 <br /> a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. <br /> 1.02 PLANS <br /> A. The plan entitled Brewster Avenue/Broadway Bicycle Detection Project. <br /> B. The City's Engineering Standards (December 4, 2006 and latest revision). <br /> C. State of California, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications and Standard <br /> Plans, are hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> 1.03 TIME OF COMPLETION <br /> Contractor shall perform everything required to be pertormed within fourteen (14) <br /> calendar days, excluding "lead-time°for equipment and materials. Notice to Proceed will <br /> be issued to establish the date that the work is to commence once materials and <br /> equipment is received by contractor. <br /> 1.04 INCLEMENT WEATHER <br /> An allowance of zero (0) working days for inclement weather delay have been included <br /> in the time allowed for completion. <br /> 1.05 GENERAL TRAFFIC CONTROL,SAFETY�ACCESS <br /> A. Contractors shall comply with Section 01550,Traffic Regulations, or as dire�ted. <br /> B. Contractor shall provide one 11-foot minimum width tra�c lane for vehicular traffic in <br /> each direction of travel during construction. <br /> C. Contractor has immediate access to the work site. Contractor shall limit his activities <br /> within the area indicated as limits of the Contract. No work shall proceed on site unless <br /> temporary barriers, fences, gates and protection are installed andfunctioning. <br /> D. The work site is located adjacent to a High School, and near several other elementary <br /> schools. Contractor shall take extra precaution to ensure the site is safe for bicyclists <br /> and pedestrians, particularly when working during the school's arrival and dismissal <br /> times. It is preferred that the contractor attempt to limit their work activates during those <br /> spec�c times. <br /> 1.06 PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCES <br /> A. There will be a pre-construction conference after award of contract and before start of <br /> actual work on the project. The arranged time and place will be mutually agreeable to <br /> the Engineer and the Contractor. The Contractor together with the person to be <br /> designated as the Contractor's Superintendent for the work shall attend the meeting. <br /> B. The Contractor shall at this time submit his proposed project progress schedule and <br /> detailed cost breakdown for the work for review and approval as to conformance with the <br /> Contract documents. <br /> SPECIAL CONDITIONS 00800-1 <br /> BREWSTER AVENUE/BROADWAY BICYCLE DETECTION PROJECT <br />
