1.07 UTILITY SHUTDOWN <br /> A. No utility shall be disconnected without prior written approval aF the Engineer. <br /> B. In the event operations of this project require that there be a temporary utility shutdown, <br /> the Contractor shall submit, in writing, notice of this requirement at least forty-eight (48) <br /> hours in advanoe of the operation. <br /> 1.08 DRAWINGS ON SITE <br /> A complete set of Plans and Speafications shall be kept continuously at the site. Copies <br /> of all change orders, letters, and extra work orders shall be kept on the job at all times, <br /> and shall be available for inspection. <br /> 1.09 RECORDS <br /> A. Contractor shall keep accurate, detailed records of the type, character and extent of all <br /> work accomplished and time spent in the performance of each type of work and shall, <br /> upon request, furnish the Engineer with any information from these records, _including <br /> the accumulative totals. <br /> B. Contractor shall submit to the City prior to final acceptance all as-built drawings, <br /> guarantees, maintenance and repairmanuals as required. <br /> 1.10 PARTIAL ACCEPTANCE AND OCCUPANCY <br /> A. Partial acceptance of completed work may be considered at the discretion of the <br /> Engineer. <br /> B. The City shall have the right to occupy and use in any manner any or all portions of <br /> completed work which has been accepted. <br /> 1.11 FINAL INSPECTION <br /> A. At least four (4) working days notice shall be given to the Engineer that the project is <br /> ready for final inspection, that the Contractor has carefully inspected all portions of the <br /> work and that all conditions of the Contract Section have been fulfilled. <br /> B. Upon acceptance of notice that the work is ready for final inspection, the Engineer <br /> together with the Contractor, shall promptly make a joint inspection of the work and note <br /> deficiencies, if any. If there are no deficiencies, or when noted deficiencies, have been <br /> corrected and Engineer finds the work acceptable then the Contract is fully performed. <br /> 1.12 WATER CONSERVATION <br /> A. Nothing in this section "Water Conservation" shall be construed as relieving the <br /> Contractor from furnishing an adequate supply of water required for the proper <br /> construction of this project in accordance with the Specifications of these special <br /> provisions or relieving the Contractor from the legal responsibilities. <br /> B. The Water Shortage Emergency Ordinance, adopted by the City of Redwood City on <br /> July 1, 1990, prohibits or restricts water for construction purposes. However, the use of <br /> domestic water in construction projects for backfill consolidation or compaction, or for <br /> dust control purposes is allowed underthe current conditions. <br /> C. The Contractor shall,whenever possible and not in conflict with the above requirements, <br /> minimize the use of water during construction of the project. Watering equipment shall <br /> be kept in good working order, water leaks shall be repaired promptly; and washing of <br /> equipment, except when necessary for safety or for the protection of equipment, shall be <br /> discouraged. <br /> SPECIAL CONDITIONS 00800-2 <br /> BREWSTER AVENUE/BROADWAY BICYCLE DETECTION PROJECT <br />
