D. When ordered by the Engineer, a dust palliativ�e conforming to the provisions of Section <br /> 18, "Dust Palliative", of the Standard Specifications shall be used to control dust on this <br /> project. No additional compensation will be allowed for the use of dust palliatives. <br /> 1.13 USE OF WATER <br /> All water used in conjunction with the project improvements shall be metered and paid <br /> for by the Contractor. <br /> 1. Contractor shall pay an $800 deposit to Cash Collections at City Hall, 1017 <br /> Middlefield Roadfor the construction meter. <br /> 2. The receipt of payment shall be taken to the Public Works Services Department, <br /> 1400 Broadwayto pick up the water meter. <br /> 1.14 ORDER OF WORK <br /> The contractor's schedule shall indicate the order of his work and the time period <br /> required in each area. <br /> 1.15 MARKINGS ON SIDEWALKS <br /> Any permanent marking to be set or made in the concrete shall be made with an <br /> approved stencil in the appropriate location. All temporary markings shall be removed <br /> after completion ofthe project. <br /> 1.16 DAMAGE <br /> Damage to existing structures, facilities, utilities, trees, lawns, shrubs, pavements, or <br /> other property caused by the Contractor shall be restored to original condition at the <br /> Contractor's expense, prior to final inspection and acceptance. <br /> 1.17 STAGING AREA, USE OF CITY STREETS, ENPLOYEE PARKING <br /> A. Material storage shall be limited at the construction site to what is needed for two days , <br /> construction. <br /> B. Contractor shall be responsible for making his own arrangements, for storing excess <br /> material and eq�pment at an approved storage yard off the City streets. <br /> C. Construction equipment may be stored on the street, but must be moved every two days <br /> (48 hours) as construction progresses. <br /> D. No construction material shall be stored over the weekend unless approved by the <br /> project engineer. <br /> E. Sheds or storage containers may be left on the street in one location for no longer than <br /> one month. The engineer shall approve the location(s)for storage. <br /> F. Storage containers and sanitary facilities shall not have graffiti and shall be painted in <br /> subdued colors. <br /> G. Reflectors and/or barricades shall be required for all equipment and material left on the <br /> street overnight. <br /> H. At the end of the working week, all loose material, parts, and debris must be cleaned up <br /> and discarded. <br /> I.
