McNabb Construction $356,517.00* Engineer's Estimate: $263,000.00 Based on the three bids, staff believes that the bids are fair and reasonable. *Staff was notified by "third place" bidder of erroneous sum. The correct sum of $315,357.00 positions this bidder into second place. The correction has been recorded by the City Clerk. ALTERNATIVES Do not award the contract for Jardin de Ninos Park Renovation Project and re-advertise the project. FISCAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $187,604.91 are available in the 2014/2015 CIP program under Jardin de Ninos Park Renovation Project. Funds in the amount of $110,624.70 are also allocated from the Restroom Replacement Program and $232,958.98 from the Playground Replacement Program. The total CIP funding amount is $531,188.59. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW The project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines per Section 15302 "Replacement or Reconstruction" for removal and replacement of existing concrete paving, benches and playground equipment; and Section 15332 "In-Fill Development Projects" for the construction of additional concrete paving in the expanded plaza, placement of rubber matting and artificial turf, new restroom facilities, benches, lighting, and utility extensions.
