MSR:dp: 12/15/77 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE <br /> PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br /> , 197 , by and between the CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, hereinafter referred to as "City, " and <br /> , a <br /> public/private non-profit agency, hereinafter referred to as <br /> "Employing Agency, " <br /> W I T N E S S E T H <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to the Comprehensive Employment and Training <br /> Act of 1973 , Title II, as amended (Public Law 93-203. 87 Stats. 839 <br /> and Public Law 93-567 , 88 Stats. 1845) hereinafter referred to <br /> as the "Act, " funds are provided to City for implementation of <br /> transitional public service employment programs; and <br /> WHEREAS , City recognizes the need for a program-of transitional <br /> public service employment (hereinafter referred to as "PSE") <br /> for eligible residents of the City of Redwood City, and has <br /> indicated its approval of the same and its intent to act as <br /> "Program Agent" under the Act, for the purposes of implementing <br /> such a program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Employing Agency has represented to City that it is <br /> qualified and experienced to perform such services; and <br /> WHEREAS , City desires to enter into an agreement with Employing <br /> Agency for the performance of such services; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and <br /> agreementsherein set forth, the parties hereto agree as follows : <br /> 1.
