SECTION 3. This Council hereby expresses its present intention <br /> to comply with the majority vote of the electors voting on the <br /> advisory ballot proposal herein specified, by enacting legislation <br /> which shall be effective on and after July 1, 1978, or by refraining <br /> from taking legislative action, as the case may be. <br /> SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution <br /> to transmit a copy thereof to the City Attorney for the preparation <br /> of an impartial analysis of the advisory ballot proposal showing <br /> the effect thereof on existing law and the operation of the measure. <br /> SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution <br /> to cause a copy of the advisory measure hereinabove set forth to <br /> be printed in convenient pamphlet form and in type of not less <br /> than ten point and to cause copies thereof to be mailed to each of <br /> the qualified electors in the City of Redwood City, which pamphlets <br /> may be the same as that used in conjunction with the proposed <br /> amendments to the Charter of the City of Redwood City to be voted <br /> upon in the General Municipal Election of April 11, 1978 . <br /> SECTION 6. The City Clerk or the County Clerk of the County <br /> of San Mateo, or such other appropriate election official, is <br /> hereby authorized and empowered to redesignate or change the letter <br /> designation of the proposition hereinabove set forth for purposes <br /> of listing said proposition on the ballot and on the voting machines <br /> to be used at the General Municipal Election to be held on said <br /> advisory measure in the City of Redwood City on April 11, 1978. <br /> Upon such redesignation or changed designation, all references to <br /> said proposition shall be made in accordance with said redesignated <br /> or changed designation. <br /> -3- <br />
