SECTION 3. This Council hereby expresses its present intention to comply with the majority vote of the electors voting on the advisory ballot proposal herein specified, by enacting legislation which shall be effective on and after July 1, 1978, or by refraining from taking legislative action, as the case may be. SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution to transmit a copy thereof to the City Attorney for the preparation of an impartial analysis of the advisory ballot proposal showing the effect thereof on existing law and the operation of the measure. SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution to cause a copy of the advisory measure hereinabove set forth to be printed in convenient pamphlet form and in type of not less than ten point and to cause copies thereof to be mailed to each of the qualified electors in the City of Redwood City, which pamphlets may be the same as that used in conjunction with the proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of Redwood City to be voted upon in the General Municipal Election of April 11, 1978 . SECTION 6. The City Clerk or the County Clerk of the County of San Mateo, or such other appropriate election official, is hereby authorized and empowered to redesignate or change the letter designation of the proposition hereinabove set forth for purposes of listing said proposition on the ballot and on the voting machines to be used at the General Municipal Election to be held on said advisory measure in the City of Redwood City on April 11, 1978. Upon such redesignation or changed designation, all references to said proposition shall be made in accordance with said redesignated or changed designation. -3-
