" (b) Said Charter amendment proposal shall be submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at the General Municipal Election to be held in the City on April 11, 1978, in the form of a proposal to amend said Charter by amending Section 32 thereof. On the ballots and on the voting machines to be used at said election, in addition to all other matters required by law to be printed thereon, shall appear the following: PROPOSITION F. Shall Section 32 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City be amended to provide that the City Clerk shall keep the originals or certified copies of all ordinances rather than an ordinance book? SECTION 9. (a) The Council of Redwood City hereby proposes, on its own motion, to amend the Charter of the City of Redwood City by amending Section 34 thereof to read as follows: "SECTION 34. CITY TREASURER: "There shall be a city treasurer, who shall be appointed by the city council. It shall be hie the treasurer ' s duty to receive and safely keep all moneys and securities belonging to the city and coming into his said treasurer ' s hands , and to pay out the same only on warrants signed by the proper officers, except the principal and interest due on bonds of the city, including improvement bonds thereof. The treasurer shall deposit, with a-respersibie-berikirig institution;-te-be-designated-Icy-the-eity-eeeneil , such depositories as are provided by law all funds coming into his said treasurer' s possession, and shall obtain from such banieing-institution;-bends-er-ether depositories • collateral as security therefor, as provided by law.
