PROPOSITION J. Shall Section 76 of the Charter of the <br /> City of Redwood City, specifying certain <br /> citizenship and residence requirements of officers and <br /> employees, be deleted to conform to constitutional <br /> requirements? <br /> SECTION 13. (a) The Council of Redwood City hereby proposes, <br /> on its own motion, to amend the Charter of the City of Redwood City <br /> by amending Section 92 thereof to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 92. AMENDMENT OF CHARTER. <br /> "This charter may be amended in accordance with the <br /> provisions of Section 8 3, Article XI, of the Constitution <br /> of the State of California, or any amendment thereof or <br /> provision substituted therefor. " <br /> (b) Said Charter amendment proposal shall be submitted to the <br /> electors of the City of Redwood City at the General Municipal Election <br /> to be held in the City on April 11, 1978 , in the form of a proposal <br /> to amend said Charter by amending Section 92 thereof. On the ballots <br /> and on the voting machines to be used at said election, in addition <br /> to all other matters required by law to be printed thereon, shall <br /> appear the following: <br /> PROPOSITION K. Shall Section 92 of the Charter of the <br /> City of Redwood City, specifying the <br /> authority for enacting Charter amendments, be amended <br /> to refer to the correct section of Article XI of the <br /> State Constitution? <br /> SECTION 14. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution <br /> to transmit a copy of the measures herein specified to the City <br /> Attorney for the preparation of an impartial analysis of the measures <br /> showing the effect thereof on existing law and the operation of the <br /> measure. <br /> SECTION 15. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution <br /> to cause the same to be published once, in the Redwood City Tribune , <br /> which is a newspaper of general circulation within the City of <br /> Redwood City, and in all editions thereof issued during the day of <br /> -16- <br />
