<br />RFP Pan Am Barge Removal – due 20 June 2014 Page 2 of 22 <br />1. Introduction <br />The City of Redwood City, California (“City”) is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms <br />(“Contractor”) with marine, demolition and construction expertise in all phases of the project to <br />relocate the Kleider Barge sufficiently for access to the Pan Am Barge, to relocate and demolish <br />the Pan Am Barge properly disposing of all waste and demolition debris and to return Kleider <br />Barge. Both barges are located at the Docktown Marina, 1548 Maple Street, in Redwood City, <br />CA. This will be a turn-key project. This is a Public Works Project. Contractor and all <br />subcontractors shall pay their employees performing labor under this Contract salaries or wages <br />at least equal to the general prevailing wage rates in effect at the time this RFP is issued, as <br />determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California, <br />for the particular crafts, classifications or types of workers employed on the project and shall <br />comply with all applicable requirements of .California Labor Code §§1720 et seq. <br /> <br />Requirements to bid this contract include: <br />• C21 Demolition Contractors License <br />• A- General Engineering Contractor License <br />• Attendance of a mandatory pre-bid walk of the facility <br />Time: 12:30 pm <br />Date: May 30, 2014 <br />Place: Docktown Marina Office – <br /> 1548 Maple Street, Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> <br />All work must be completed by August 30, 2014. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the <br />project, failure to meet the scheduled deadline of August 30, 2014 will result in liquidated <br />damages as outlined in Attachment B. <br /> <br />2.
