<br />RFP Pan Am Barge Removal – due 20 June 2014 Page 3 of 22 <br />Responses from the City will be communicated in writing to all interested parties of <br />this RFP. Inquiries received after the date and time stated will not be accepted. All <br />accepted questions shall become a part of this RFP. The City shall not be responsible <br />for nor be bound by any oral instructions, interpretations or explanations issued by <br />the City or its representatives. <br /> <br />3.2. Examination of Proposal Documents <br />The submission of a Proposal shall be deemed a representation and certification by <br />the Proposer that they: <br /> <br />• Have carefully read and fully understand the information that was provided <br />by the City to serve as the basis for submission of their Proposal. <br />• Have the capability to successfully undertake and complete the <br />responsibilities and obligations of the Proposal being submitted. <br />• Represent that all information contained in their Proposal is true and correct. <br />• Did not, in any way, collude; conspire to agree, directly or indirectly, with any <br />person, firm, corporation or other Proposer in regard to the amount, terms <br />or conditions of their Proposal. <br />• Acknowledge that the City has the right to make any inquiry it deems <br />appropriate to substantiate or supplement information supplied by Proposer, <br />and Proposer hereby grants the City permission to make these inquiries, and <br />to provide any and all related documentation in a timely manner. <br />• Acknowledge that this is a turn-key project with the contractor assuming all <br />responsibility for the work unless specifically stated otherwise by the City of <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />No request for modification or supplementation of the Proposal shall be considered <br />after its submission on grounds that Proposer was not fully informed to any fact or <br />condition. <br /> <br />3.3. Submission of Proposals <br />Proposals are due on or before June 20, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. PDT, at which time they <br />will be recorded and forwarded to a Selection Advisory Committee for evaluation. <br />Proposals will not be opened and read aloud. <br /> <br />Proposals must be sealed and sent to: <br />City of Redwood City <br />Attn: Kristen Mees <br />1017 Middlefield Rd <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> <br />The Proposer shall submit one (1) original and four (4) copies of its Proposal in a <br />sealed envelope, addressed as noted above, bearing the Proposer’s name and <br />address clearly marked, “RFP for Pan Am Barge demolition.” <br />7.1.D. - Page 14
