<br />RFP Pan Am Barge Removal – due 20 June 2014 Page 7 of 22 <br />personnel, transportation, communications, subsistence and materials and any subcontracted <br />items of work. The City does not make advance payment for goods or services. <br /> <br />7. Indemnification and Hold Harmless <br />See section 6 of the form General Services Agreement attached hereto as Attachment C. Any <br />objections to the indemnification and hold harmless provisions of the Agreement must be <br />raised in the Proposal submitted in response to this RFP. Failure to list any such objections in <br />the Proposal will preclude the successful Proposer from requesting changes to the Agreement <br />at a later time. Further any objections to the language of the Agreement will be considered in <br />the determination of the successful Proposer. <br /> <br />8. Insurance Requirements <br />See Section 7 of the form General Services Agreement attached hereto as Attachment C. Any <br />objections to the insurance requirements in the Agreement must be raised in the Proposal <br />submitted in response to this RFP. Failure to list any such objections in the Proposal will <br />constitute Proposer’s acknowledgement and agreement that the Proposer is able to and will <br />provide the amounts and types of insurance listed therein. Further any objections to the <br />language of the Agreement will be considered in the determination of the successful Proposer. <br /> <br />9. Business License <br />The successful Proposer (and all subcontractors) will be required to be licensed in accordance <br />with the City of Redwood City Business License Ordinance, Municipal Code Chapter 32.101 <br />through 32.156, entitled "Business Tax". Business license information (application, ordinance, <br />fees) can be found by navigating to the City of Redwood City homepage <br />(www.redwoodcity.org) and selecting “Government,” “Codes and Ordinances,” “Municipal <br />Code,” “Taxation*,” “Article V. – Business licenses.” <br /> <br />10. Prevailing Wage <br />Copies of the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of <br />worker needed to execute the Contract, as determined by Director of the State of California <br />Department of Industrial Relations, are on file at City’s office and are deemed included in the <br />Bidding Sections. Also, Contractor shall post the applicable prevailing wage rates at the job <br />Site. The City has a web site (www.redwoodcity.org), which is linked to the Department of <br />Industrial Relations, where Bidders may obtain prevailing wage data. <br />Contractor and any subcontractors under the Contractor shall comply with Section 1776, <br />regarding certified payroll records, and with Section 1777.5, regarding the employment and <br />training of apprentices of the Labor Code. <br />Contractor shall comply with the requirements in Labor Code 1810 et seq concerning hours in a <br />workday and week and overtime. <br /> <br />7.1.D. - Page 18
