REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF JANUARY 12 , 1977 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called <br /> to order by Chairperson Pound at 7 : 34 p . m . in Conference Room 1 of the <br /> Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Anderson , Buckhout , Hayes , Pound , <br /> Schlesinger , Weintraub <br /> MEfJERS ABSENT : Commissioner Knecht <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Director Max C . Weeks <br /> Superintendent Pasco Balzarini <br /> Superintendent Bill Paulson <br /> Administrative Assistant Tom Ferrando <br /> Recreation Leader Robert Heavey <br /> GAP STUDENTS : Ginny Mayhew , Glenda Aslund , Gerald Montgomery , Jr . <br /> Bill Doherty , Jon Parsons , Judy Munoz , Sheila Froedge , <br /> Suzanne Smith , Kevin Mattson , Tracy Stump <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the minutes <br /> of the December 8 , 1976 , Regular Business Meeting , <br /> seconded by Commissioner Anderson . The motion <br /> carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> Chairperson Pound welcomed newly appointed Commissioner Hayes . <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Commissioner Pound inquired as to whether the Park Maintenance Magazine <br /> which the Commission received was a publication of the California Parks <br /> and Recreation Society . Mr . Weeks indicated that it is not affiliated <br /> with CPRS and that the Commission received courtesy copies for which <br /> there is no charge . <br /> With regards to an additional page of the Street Tree Masterplan , which <br /> each Commissioner received , Mr . Weeks stated that the Masterplan had not <br /> yet been before Council . He indicated that a problem had arisen with <br /> respect to the Public Works data which was collected in the Street Tree <br /> Survey and that attempts were being made to resolve the problem which <br /> existed between the Public Works Department and the Consultant . He <br /> further stated that once the problem was alleviated , the Masterplan <br /> would be presented to the City Council . <br /> - 1 - <br />
