REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF FEBRUARY 9 , 1977 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called <br /> to order by Chairperson Pound at 7 : 35 p . n . , in Conference Room 1 of <br /> the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Anderson , Buckhout , Hayes , Knecht , <br /> Pound , Weintraub <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : Commissioner Schlesinger ( Arrived at 8 : 03 p . m . ) <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Director Max Weeks <br /> Superintendent Bill Paulson <br /> Administrative Assistant Tom Ferrando <br /> CITIZENS PRESENT : Ann Anderson , 815 Canyon Road , Redwood City <br /> Ida Moore , 1286 Fernside ; Redwood City Singles <br /> Gladys Johnson , 2618 Brester ; Redwood City Singles <br /> Evelyn Powell , 223 Hillview ; TOPS <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the minutes <br /> of the January 12 , 1977 , Regular Business Meeting , <br /> seconded by Commissioner Anderson . The motion <br /> carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that he had received a letter from California Parks <br /> and Recreation Socity requesting the return of membership cards from <br /> the retired members of the Commission . He indicated that he would follow <br /> up on the matter . <br /> Chairperson Pound indicated that she had received a letter from Park <br /> Maintenance Magazine asking for verification of membership on the Com- <br /> mission and subscription information for the magazine . The Commission <br /> had indicated in an earlier meeting that they did not wish to pay for <br /> this magazine . Mr . Weeks indicated that he would also handle this <br /> inquiry . <br /> Mr . Weeks read an invitation from the Native Daughters of the Golden <br /> West concerning their Annual Arbor Day Observance on Sunday , February <br /> 27 , at 2 : 00 p . m . , at the Casa de Redwood , 1280 Veterans Blvd . He indi - <br /> cated that Bernie Nielson would be honored during the day ' s activities . <br />
