Chairman Schlesinger thanked Mr . Follansbee and Mr . Thrasher for present- <br /> ing the information . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 . Discussion of Bingo Ordinance and Use of Recreation Facilities <br /> Mr . Paulson gave a brief background of the ordinance indicating that if <br /> an organization wanted to play bingo , they would have to be a non-profit <br /> organization , they would have to obtain a permit to play bingo , and they <br /> would have to own or lease the property where the game would be played . <br /> Chairman Schlesinger informed the Commission that only three ( 3 ) buildings <br /> are leased out by the City that might involve the Department . <br /> Commissioner Knecht felt that bingo should not be played in any recreation <br /> facility . Discussion ensued . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Knecht moved , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Anderson , that the agenda item be carried over to <br /> the July Commission meeting when a full Commission <br /> would be present . The motion carried unanimously <br /> by voice vote . <br /> REPORTS <br /> REPORT ITEM 1 . Operational Policy Committee <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Knecht moved , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Buckhout , to accept the Policies Committee report . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> REPORT ITEM 2 . Monthly Reports <br /> Mr . Paulson indicated to the Commission that the bonding company has a <br /> contractor for Mezes Park to finish the 10 per cent left of the job . <br /> Redwood Shores has 67 per cent completion due still . The same contrac- <br /> tor will be assigned to do the completion work at Redwood Shores if his <br /> performance at Mezes Park is suitable to the bonding company . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Buckhout moved , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Anderson , to accept the monthly reports . The motion <br /> carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> ROUND TABLE <br /> With regard to the Draft Human Services Element of the General Plan received <br /> from the Planning Commission , Mr . Knecht felt that not only should their be <br /> employment programs that teach a skill , but there should also be programs <br /> on how to work : job attitudes and what is expected from employees in a <br /> job situation . <br /> -3- <br />
