PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT <br /> DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT <br /> JUNE 1977 <br /> Redwood Shores and Mezes Park Completion <br /> The bonding company that assumed the completion work of Mezes Park and <br /> Redwood Shores parks has now signed a contractor to proceed with the <br /> work . The work at Mezes Park will be completed first and is currently <br /> under way . The picnic tables have been installed , the regrading of the <br /> catch basin areas has been completed , replanting has taken place and <br /> work is under way to correct the problems with the restroom . Other <br /> work to be completed includes the adjustment and correction and some <br /> repair of the sprinkler system including the controllers and some repaint- <br /> ing . It is anticipated that the work necessary to complete the park will <br /> be ready for final inspection and acceptance before the end of July . <br /> With respect to the Redwood Shores parks , it is anticipated that the <br /> contractor that has been engaged to finish the Mezes Park work will <br /> also be utilized to finish the Redwood Shores work . It is understood <br /> that a contract is currently being negotiated for the Redwood Shores <br /> portion of the work and that the completion of these park areas should <br /> be under way prior to the middle of July . The work yet to be completed <br /> in the Redwood Shores area includes the completion of the irrigation <br /> system , final grading , tennis court construction , play area construc- <br /> tion and the installation of access walks . The landscaping of the areas <br /> is deferred until after the drought has subsided . <br /> -5- <br />
