Mr . Weeks reported that he had been contacted by a community group <br /> interested in the development cf Stulsaft Park . One of the major <br /> problems is the abuse use of the park and the residents in the area <br /> continue to be affected by it . The Police Department has been work - <br /> ing with the Parks & Recreation Department on how to lessen this <br /> problem . A full report together with a series of operational <br /> options will soon be submitted to the City Council . After consid- <br /> erable discussion , Mr . Weeks indicated that he would keep the Com- <br /> mission up to date on any progress made in this direction . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 . Revision of Parks & Recreation Element of General Plan <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved , seconded by Com- <br /> missioner Pound , that this agenda item be <br /> carried over to the December 14 , 1977 , Commis - <br /> sion Meeting Agenda . The motion carried unan - <br /> imously by voice vote . <br /> REPORTS <br /> REPORT ITEM 1 . Community & Commission Relations Committee <br /> This report item was handled in Agenda Item 1 . <br /> REPORT ITEM 2 . Monthly Reports <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that the representative from the State Department <br /> of Parks & Recreation will be meeting with him on November 10 , 1977 , <br /> to inspect all of the projects requested for State funding . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Hayes moved , seconded by Commis - <br /> sioner Anderson , to accept the monthly reports . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> REPORT ITEM 2B . Other <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that he had the forms for the Statement of Economic <br /> Interest which were to be filled out by the Commissioners and returned <br /> to the Department . <br /> The Commission was requested to appoint a representative for a new <br /> Council Committee called the Human Concerns Committee . The Council <br /> is establishing this Committee with members from various Commissions , <br /> Boards , and citizens in the community . Mr . Weeks read the scope of <br /> work for the Committee . This Committee takes the place of the Housing <br /> Concerns Committee and meetings will be held once a month . Commissioner <br /> Knecht volunteered to be the Parks & Recreation Commission representa - <br /> tive for this Committee . <br /> - 3- <br />
