PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 14 , 1977 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission was called to <br /> order by Vice-Chairman Anderson at 7 : 37 p . m . , in Conference Room 1 of <br /> the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Anderson , Hayes , Knecht , Pound , <br /> Wei ntraub <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : Commissioners Buckhout and Schlesinger <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Max C . Weeks , Parks & Recreation Director <br /> Bill Paulson , Recreation Superintendent <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Hayes to accept the minutes of the August 10 , 1977 , <br /> Regular Business Meeting . The motion carried unani - <br /> mously by voice vote . <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The Commissioners received a bulletin on the 79th Annual League of California <br /> Cities Conference being held in San Francisco from September 25 to September <br /> 28 . Mr . Weeks indicated that the two Commissioners registered for this con- <br /> ference are Commissioners Anderson and Weintraub . Commissioner Anderson <br /> inquired that if one of the Commissioners were unable to attend , would <br /> another be able to go in their place . Mr . Weeks replied that this could <br /> be arranged . <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated to the Commission that the District IV Commissioners <br /> Dinner be held in Burlingame on September 30 , 1977 , and that if any of <br /> the Commissioners wished to attend , to let him know by September 26 , so <br /> that reservations could be made . <br /> Commissioner Anderson reviewed the letter received from Mr . Ray Wagner <br /> expressing his appreciation of the Wilderness Camp staff and activities . <br /> He hoped that this program would be continued . Commissioner Anderson <br /> inquired if the Department would respond to this letter . Mr. Weeks <br /> indicated that the Department would respond . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 . Building Operations Fees <br /> Mr . Weeks briefly reviewed the Operational Policy Committee Report and <br /> the Survey of Fees and Charges indicating that fees being charged by <br /> the Department for use of their buildings are comparably low and should <br /> - 1 - <br />
