Goals and 8.A. - Page 33 <br /> Policies 2 0 1 5 - 2 0 2 3 H O U S I <br /> Inter - Agency and Other Organizations Consultation <br /> Program H -21: Acquisition and Rehabilitation of Existing Housing. The <br /> +.b <br /> ab, acquisition and rehabilitation of existing duplexes and <br /> Sustainability Focus <br /> apartment complexes can work to guard against neighborhood <br /> deterioration and provide affordable housing of reasonable <br /> quality to lower- income households. Under this program, the <br /> City assists nonprofit organizations in the acquisition of multi- <br /> family housing for lower- income families, individuals, veterans, <br /> and seniors, and other special needs populations. <br /> Objective: <br /> • Contact nonprofit housing providers regarding the City's <br /> interest in establishing partnerships in the acquisition and <br /> rehabilitation of substandard rental properties, with the <br /> goal of completing at least one project during the planning <br /> period. <br /> Timeframe: Ongoing <br /> Responsible Party; Community Development; City Manager <br /> Office <br /> Funding Sources: CDBG, HOME <br /> Program H -22: Consult with Public Agencies. The City actively supports <br /> regional collaboration on land use and affordable housing <br /> planning efforts. <br /> Objectives: <br /> • Support regional efforts to address housing issues, including <br /> the 21 Elements group and participate in countywide <br /> housing studies. <br /> • Continue to participate in regional studies and consider <br /> policies or programs to address the displacement of lower <br /> income residents due to new development. <br /> • Support the San Mateo County Housing Authority's <br /> outreach efforts to property owners related to acceptance <br /> of Housing Choice Vouchers. <br /> • Consult with C /CAG regarding the upcoming San Carlos <br /> Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan update to ensure that <br /> revisions do not pose constraints on housing development <br /> in Redwood City. <br /> H - 1 6 8 Redwood City General Plan <br />
