A total of 12.76 acres in Downtown could accommodate <br /> 1,260 units. <br /> Opportunity sites for infill development are identified throughout the City, especially along major corridors. <br /> The six mixed -use opportunity sites along corridors identified in the Housing Element, totaling 39.93 acres, <br /> could accommodate 2,044 units. To achieve this goal, the Housing Element identifies long -term housing goals and <br /> supporting policies to address housing needs. The goals and policies are then implemented through a <br /> series of housing programs. Programs identify specific actions the City plans to undertake toward achieving <br /> each goal and policy.
